Sarah also served as the Associate Director of Second Language Writing at ASU. Informed by the study of second language acquisition, sociolinguistics, and rhetoric and composition, her research areas concern the intersections of second language writing and writing program assessment. She is active in national organizations such as the Symposium on Second Language Writing as well as the Council of Writing Program Administrators and their Graduate Organization, for which she has facilitated multiple mentoring and professional development events.Katherine Daily O'Meara is Assistant Professor of Rhetoric and Composition and the Director of Composition at Emporia State University.
