Ceux de nos lecteurs - et ils sont nombreux - qui ont appuyé nos efforts et nous ont aidés de leurs conseils, ont pu seuls comprendre combien il a été difficile de recueillir les documents qui ont permis de démontrer que non seulement M. Pasteur ne guérissait pas la rage, mais que les doctrines qu'il exposait étaient contraires aux données les plus élémentaires de la clinique. Il nous a fallu des efforts inouïs pour suivre attentivement les malades que M. Pasteur renvoyait de son laboratoire guéris et qui allaient succomber dans leurs provinces, pour démontrer que l'année 1886 avait compté plus de décès par la rage que les années antérieures.
