Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. An early edition of this philosophical work by Nobel Prize winning author Maurice Maeterlinck, in a charming ANTIQUARIAN binding. Quarter morocco binding in SUPERB condition - top page edges are gold gilt. (Another UK seller in Bath has a photo of the book - but our copy is much better - not nearly as worn). A work of philosophy by Belgian playwright, poet, and essayist Belgian playwright, poet Maurice Maeterlinck, winner of the Nobel prize in Literature in 1911. The main themes in his work are death and the meaning of life. Internally, firmly bound, the pages are clean with some browning, as usual due to the type of paper used.
