Dr. Edelen has also authored three books on mathematical physics. He is a fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society and a member of the Tensor Society of Japan and the Board of Editors of the International Journal of Engineering Science. He holds B.E.S., M.S.E. and Ph.D. degrees from Johns Hopkins University. Presently, Anastasios D. Kydoniefs is associate professor at the Center for the Application of Mathematics, Lehigh University, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. In addition to his teaching experience, he has been a senior research assistant and a university research fellow at the University of Nottingham, England. First, we have corrected the errors and misprints that occur in the first edition and have simplified the proofs at a number of points.
