Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. Late 19th Century Edition. This antique piano/vocal score is in English only, with no attribution to either the libretto or the translation. The 1887 date is speculation on my part, but the original owner, one Stephen Chase, has signed the cover and dated his acquisition as "May 25, 1887". CONTENTS: internal title page, Table of Characters, Outline of Sections; 372 pages. CONDITION: this copy shows its age rather well, though the covers are soiled and shelf-worn, with a couple edge/corner chips. It appears that the front cover has been reattached with near-invisible archival tape. The interior, in contrast, is unmarked but for the names of two singers in the margin next to the characters Margaret and Faust [Mrs. Henschel & Geo. J. Parker]. It is otherwise uncompromised, with only the faintest hint of age-tanning. This very collectible and usable copy is now in a clear, snug, protective polypropylene bag with backing board.
