The original softcover book is present in its entirety (including both front and back paper covers) it has just been bound into contemporary hard covers. 1891; C.A. Reitzel Copenhagen / Longman s, Green & Co s London. The book is written in English, though it has a front cover, half title page and title page written in Danish; there is also a title page written in English. From the Preface: The purpose of the present volume is, in the first place, as an introduction, to continue the conclusions, which we are able to draw from the mode of life, the customs and usages of the Eskimo mentioned in the former volume, adding one apparently safe inference from their language, concerning their homestead before their dispersion. Then, as the main object follows the Comparative Vocabulary of the Dialects. Condition: The original book with its paper covers is present (with both front and back paper covers), which have been custom-bound into contemporary hardcovers. The pages are in great condition with only some light foxing to the first few and last few pages; no writing, tears or stains found. The hardcovers are clean with no stains; sharp corners. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. Overall the book is in great condition.
