Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book is a satirical travel account set at the turn of the 19th century and is presented as an excerpt of a much longer volume. The author, a traveler from the 18th century, encounters a series of comical and bizarre incidents during his stay in the fictional town of Schilda. The author creates a memorable narrative using these encounters to highlight the absurdity, and lack of Enlightenment, of the time period. Through humor, this book offers a wry critique of power structures, 18th-century social and political conventions, and the human condition. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…

"Erste Ausgabe. ? (R. Kawa S. 159) ?
