La più completa raccolta di liriche di Igino Ugo Tarchetti, uscita postuma, a dieci anni dalla sua morte, per le cure di Domenico Milelli. L'opera è divisa in due parti di uguale lunghezza: ĞDisjectağ, che raccoglie i versi stampati in precedenza solo su rivista, e le giovanili prose liriche dei ĞCanti del cuoreğ, già pubblicate sulla ĞRivista minimağ del 31 luglio 1865 (anno I, vol. 12, pp. 88-112). Per quanto la lirica abbia ricoperto un ruolo minore rispetto alla narrativa, è proprio nei testi poetici qui pubblicati che è possibile cogliere gli elementi di maggiore novità sotto il profilo linguistico della produzione tarchettiana, in particolare nell'impiego Ğdi un linguaggio parlato, che si traduce in versi di facile musicalità, in arie popolari di sicuro successoğ (Tarchetti, Tutte le opere, a c. di E. Ghidetti, p. 58). -- Lo sforzo di Milelli nel raccogliere le poesie sparse di Tarchetti fu encomiabile, al punto che gli sfuggirono solo tre componimenti: ĞSaper vorrei se s'amanoğ, ĞNon cantar le canzoniğ e ĞAngeli e farfalleğ (ivi, p. 68).
