Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Lovely copy of this scarce first one volume US edition of the classic Buddenbrooks by Thomas Mann, quite scarce with the DJ, and very uncommon in such great shape as this copy. The jacket is here fully intact, with just 3-4 very tiny chips, some minor scuffing at the edges of the front panel, some minor soiling and staining at the spine, and some rubbing at the joints. Binding is quite tight, solid and intact. Front gutter showing just a teeny bit, but not appearing in any imminent danger of splitting. Otherwise impressively sound. Black boards very fresh, slightest rubbing but hardly so, and gilt lettering on spine is quite bright. Red top-stain still fresh as well. Interior is bright, clean, nearly immaculate except a teeny tiny stain on the second front free endpaper and a slightly larger one on the following (third) also blank endpaper. Another tiny stain on the rear pastedown. All very negligible and other than that quite bright and clean. See photos and feel free to ask for more.…

Condition: Wie neu. Octavo. More than 1800 pages. Hardcover / Decorative half leather with marbled-paper-covered-boards. With Exlibris of Falk Simon. Overall in excellent condition with some minor signs of wear only. Rare set !
