The map and the booklet are dated 1939, but this is actually a reprint from 1951 - the booklet has the print code 3000 1051 in the printer's colophon, and the map has the print code 3263.…

The map was compiled by the Ordnance Survey Archaeology Officer, O. G. S. Crawford, with the help of many scholars. This work forms the nothern portion, the southern portion being published three years earlier in 1935. Publisher's original paperback. Externally, smart with slight bumping and rubbing, leading to a few small creases and tears to edges, most noticably to the head and tail of the spine.
