Hardcover. Condition: Very Good +. No Jacket. First American Edition. Reddish boards with brown leaf decorations and brown title on cover have light soiling/rubbing with light bumping at corners. Brown spine has wear at front gutter with a 2.5" split at bottom spine. Second endpaper has a tasteful ownership plate. The 131 pages are clean, tight and unmarked with small spots on fore edges. This is a series of poems by Gordon and Page from an African American viewpoint and using dialect.

Condition: Good. pp 131 In an attractive pink and brown decorated binding with black titles; very little sign of use, occasional spotting to pages. On page 1 there is a pencil gift inscription to New york heiress Gwendoline Caldwell, dated Paris 1902. An ex Westminster Public Library copy with several stamps, especially to verso of title page, a Brentano's of Paris booksellers plate, and a German bookplate to front pastedown featuring the coat of arms of the Zedtwitz family.
