Zum Inhalt: Reckendorf selbst sagte ueber sein…Buch: "Vorliegende Syntax unterscheidet sich sowohl hinsichtlich der Behandlungsweise als des Belegstoffs von meinem Buche Die syntakt. Verhaeltnisse des Arabischen, sodass sich also die beiden Werke einander ergaenzen. Die Darstellung der Bedeutung der Wortformen und der Kategorien an und fuer sich ist eigentlich nicht Sache der Syntax, die es nur mit Beziehungen der Woerter zu tun hat. Indes ist aus praktischen Gruenden ab und zu von diesem Grundsatze abgewichen, da man herkoemmlicherweise z. B. die Lehre von der Bedeutung der Tempora und Modi in der Syntax sucht.
