The principle missionaries of which this book treats are the Revs. Frederick Ayer, Alonzo Barnard, Sela G. Wright, and Mr. David B. Spencer. This is a vivid and thrilling account of dangerous missionary work amongst the Sioux Indians and other sometimes hostile tribes.
