A hámozási, válogatási, darabolási és keményít¿-eltávolítási m¿veletek közül a feldolgozási veszteség az alapanyagnak több mint 20%-át teszi ki, ám ezen melléktermékek leggyakrabban nem kerülnek felhasználásra.
