It is a great challenge for clinician to treat the patients infected by these bacteria. So, the present study was undertaken to detect the prevalence of these bacteria by different methods. The enzymes are predominantly plasmid mediated and are derived from broad spectrum beta lactamase TEM or SHV by a limited number of mutations. Very recently CTX-M genes are the most common beta-lactamases throughout the world. Another alarm is ESBLs are now also found among 3GCs sensitive drugs.
