Manuals 2 also features contributions from R. Roger Remington, an insightful text by Martha Fleming, daughter of Allan Fleming, designer of the Canadian National Railway logo, alongside additional interviews with designers Liza Enebeis and John Bateson. The foreword is written by the legendary Lance Wyman, designer of the 1968 Mexico Olympic Games and many other important brand identities. Inside the 432-page book, each manual is reproduced in exquisite detail and features the work of some of the giants of 20th-century identity design, including Lester Beall, Paul Rand, Allan Fleming, Total Design, Alan Fletcher, Otl Aicher and North. Manuals 2 is a carefully curated collection of 20th-century style guides or, as Steven Heller calls them - "sacred texts, revered for how they help shift graphic design from simply an intuitive practice to a rigorously strategic one".

Original vintage sport poster for 1968 Mexico Olympic Games officially known as the Games of the XIX Olympiad held from 12-27 October 1968, featuring the iconic eye-catching event logo design by the notable American graphic designer Lance Wyman (b. 1937) depicting the title Mexico 68 in the centre interlinked with the five coloured Olympic rings logo surrounded by black and white repetitive lines adding to the mind-bending kinetic effect to the image that also represents early Mexican culture and folk art patterns. The 1968 Summer Olympics were the first Olympic Games to be staged in Latin America. Lance Wyman worked on creating the identity of the 1968 Summer Olympic Games with the award winning Mexican architect Pedro Ramirez Vazquez (1919-2013). Good condition, staining, restored tears, restored paper loss in bottom left corner, backed on linen. Size: 86x86cm. Lance Wyman (illustrator).
