Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Nice original 1899 copy of "Hartford in History: A Series of Papers by Resident Authors." The book is overall in very good condition with just some minor signs of wear and age. The covers only have some minor wear. The binding is good and sound. There is a name inscription to the fro…nt fep and a couple of pages or so with some minor penciled notation, underlining & bracketing. Along with that there may be the very occasional page with some kind of minor imperfection, such as a light bit of foxing or grubbiness, tiny chip, creased page corner, minor stain or marking, etc. Generally though, it's a nice copy. The book measures approximately 7 1/4 inches by 5 5/8 inches and is 268 pages long with a folding map.

The book also sheds light on the significant role played by Hartford in preserving this vital document during the Revolutionary War.
