Hardcover. Condition: Fair. No Jacket. 1st Edition. 268 pages (complete). Angelica Kauffmann, an Austrian who helped found the Royal Academy, painted works that one would like to hang in one's house. Her neo-classicism was unobtrusive and gentle. This book written by Victoria Manners (the sister of the utterly beautiful Diana Cooper and was Marchioness of Anglesey through marrying the 6th Marquess, who in turn was the successor and cousin of the legendary 'dancing peer' - the outrageous 5th Marquess). The cover of this large and generous book is much stained and worn. It is benign and sure. The contents are wonderfully gentle, genteel and attractive. The pages are of thick handmade paper. They are very clean, clear, attractive, tidy, neat, certain, diligent and comfortable. fk. Our orders are shipped using tracked courier delivery services.
