Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. xv, 581 pp. Original cloth. Corners of covers a little bumped, but a bright, tight copy. Near Fine. This copy does NOT have any library markings. First Edition, British issue. "Evolutional Ethics" is stamped in gilt on the spine, but that is not the title on the title page. There is also an American issue, with "A Review of Evolutional Ethics" stamped on the spine, and 6 pp of publisher's ads ("Works on Philosophy" at the back. The author Cora May Williams graduated from Smith College in 1883. In 1897 she translated into English Ernst Mach's The Analysis of Sensations, and the Relation of the Physical to the Psychical. She was also a contributor to this book--Our Society: a Complete Treatise of the Usages that Govern the Most Refined Homes and Social Circles. Our Moral, Social Physical and Business Culture--which was published in 1891.
