Seller: The Bark of the Beech Tree, Depoe Bay, OR, U.S.A.
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. First edition thus. A Readers Club omnibus of six of Roughead's "criminous conundrums" in which he looks at murder cases from history. The studies included were first published from 1929 to 1939 and here benefit from a foreword by Alexander Woollcott. This is not surprising since Woollcott was a prominent member of the Board of Judges of George Macy's Readers Club, and this was one of their first publications. There's a name on the front endpaper, the spine panel is a little darkened, and edges are slightly browned, but a very good copy.
Condition: Like New. Most items will be dispatched the same or the next working day. An apparently unread copy in perfect condition. Dust cover is intact with no nicks or tears. Spine has no signs of creasing. Pages are clean and not marred by notes or folds of any kind.
