Touch of riffling (but no staining) near the fore edge of the pages has also produced a slight expansion of the text block at the fore edge and a related slight bowing of the boards. Still this book otherwise appears mark free, fully legible, complete, and securely bound. Uniform with the set, light brown leather boards with a decorated gilt border. The spine's backstrip is a darker (sunned?) brown with gilt lettering and decoration. The decoration outlines six bands, with lettering in two of the resulting panels and detailed decoration in the remaining five panels. This backstrip has small cracks / wrinkles and rubbed head and tail edges. The boards have rubbed edges and some surface wear. No ex-library markings.…
