Eduard Thorner (1842-1910) und seine Schwester Clara Thorner (1849-1873). --- Das Foto von Eduard Thorner (rückseitig geschriftet): "Dr. Eduard Thorner" stammt vom Fotografen Wilhelm Kersten in Berlin, Oranienplatz 37. --- Das Foto seiner Schwester (rückseitig beschriftet: "Clara Thorner, Schwester von Eduard Th., gest. m. 23 J. etwa 1877") stammt von Otto Lindner, Prinzenstraße 71. Mit gedruckter Datierung "1873", also im Jahr ihres Todes aufgenommen. --- Format der Fotos: 10 x 6,3 cm. Beiliegend eine Visitenkarte (6,4 x 10,4 cm) von Eduard Thorner. --- Über Eduard Thorner: Sigismund Eduard Thorner, geb. am 20. Februar 1842 in Berlin-Köpenick als Sohn des Arztes Dr. med. Marcus Thorner (1812-1853) und der Marianne, geb. Steinau (1814-1877), starb am 10. September 1910. Er promovierte 1867 in Berlin (Diss. "De pyaemia"), wurde 1868 praktischer Arzt in Berlin, 1889 Sanitätsrat und 1889 Geheimer Sanitätsrat. --- Er heiratete Emma Lehmann (1850-1940). Söhne von ihnen waren der Augenarzt / Ophthalmologe und Universitätsprofessor Walther Thorner (* 16. Oktober 1874 in Berlin; gest. am 25. Oktober 1948 in Bad Homburg) sowie der Major Sigismund Johannes Karl Thorner (* 4. Februar 1877 in Berlin, gest. 9. April 1961 ebd.). --- Bei seiner Schwester handelt es sich um das Frl. Marie Thorner (sie hatte also mehrere Vornamen), die im Berliner Sterberegister von 1873 verzeichnet ist. Diese wurde am 18. Dezember 1849 geboren und starb am 13. April 1873 in Berlin an Blutsturz. Im Sterbeeintrag ist die Fürstenstraße 9 als ihre Adresse angegeben; unter dieser Adresse ist im Berliner Adressbuch ihre Mutter verzeichnet. --- Aus einem Familiennachlass; Eduard Thorner war ein Vorfahre und ist in einer Ahnentafel vertreten. --- Zustand: Fotos etwas fleckig, mit kleinen Kratzern.
