A charming selection of 11 nostalgic 'Puffin Picture Books', all in original binding.Including a title divulging the magic of cinema - detailing common contemporary special effects and the practicalities behind film cameras - and a varied selection of zoological and historical titles.Illustrated in an array of vivid colour and monochrome vignette illustrations on almost every page.Including a number of first editions, in volumes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 9, volume 2 being very scarce, and most of the collection being uncommon. Bound in original paper covers. Externally, very smart. Small graze to vol1 front cover. Original price stickers to rear covers of vols 1, 2, 10. Original price sticker to vols 3 and 7 front paste down. Original price sticker to vol11 front cover. Infrequent chipping to cover extremities. Occasional rubbing to spines. Notable loss to paper of vol2 front cover, and slight corresponding age toning to front page. Colour pencil marks to vol2 rear cover. Moderate stain to vol3 front paste down. Slight crease to vol6 rear cover. Occasional creasing to vol6 pages. Single small handling mark to vol10 front cover. Internally, firmly bound. Occasional slight rusting to stapled binding.
