The N ga are divine, semi-divine deities, or a semi-divine race of half-human half-serpent beings that reside in the netherworld (Patala) and sometimes take human form. Mythological, they are typically represented in association with snakes by Hindus, Buddhists, and Jains. A female naga is called a Nagi and is the king of nagas and naginis.
