Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. Watson, Emily (illustrator). Neuware - 'Execute Exodus Protocols.'After five thousand years of being the homeward of the warrior race of Caledonia and Debian, the final days of the planet were dawning. King Bendigeidfran's home world was going to reach the zenith of its life and battle one last time with the enlarging red sun.For the entirety of his reign, King Bendigeidfran had planned for the demise of his system. The Caledonia-Debian monarch had extended his holdings and encouraged his citizens on the planet to relocate to the new worlds, stipulating that they were valuable members of his kingdom and would always be known as Caledonia-Debian's.Having been briefed by his scientists, the monarch now knew that it was time to evacuate the planet of his birth. With his queen by his side, King Bendigeidfran gave a televised appearance where he issued the order to evacuate. The monarch vowed that his foot would be the last one on the planet as he ensured his loyal subjects were evacuated to safety. At the end of his telecast, King Bendigeidfran spoke three words, 'Execute exodus protocols. With three small words, the entire nation was mobilized, and the evacuation occurred. Maintaining calm during the confusion, the king ordered the personnel to be evacuated to the Eleven moon-sized ships orbiting the dying world. The ships were lifeboats for the people. The mighty Dragon of Caledonia-Debian was the last to enter an evacuation shuttle. Taking ahold of the extended arms of Kenechukwa and Abikanile-Nakisisa, the king hoisted himself into the shuttle. A violent quake opened the ground King Bendigeidfran had been standing on. At the last moment, the planet was intact, and the monarch was pulled onto the rescue shuttle. His foot is the last to touch the home world. The shuttle carrying the monarch, queen, and nine others raced before the debris field. The power of the Abikanile-Nakisisa protected the tiny lifeboat as it left the planet and raced before the debris field. The Dragonfly's exodus was punctuated by the defiant roar of the Dragon of Caledonia-Debian as the planet was torn apart by the force of the red giant.>As predicted, the Caledonia-Debian kingdom fractured, and unrest was widespread. Would the two most powerful entities in the universe be able to cement the splintering kingdom back into a stable empire, or would the demise of the Caledonia-Debian system be the death of the greatest empire the Cosmos had ever known.
