Add to basketHardcover. Condition: Very Good. Reprint. Bunyan's celebrated 1678 Christian allegory brought to new life with a Memoir & Notes by George Offor, illustrated with 110 designs by J. D. Watson as rendered in the 19th-century wood engravings of the Brothers Dalziel of London. No date in book, but c. early 1900s. Small book (12mo) has publisher's red cloth over boards stamped in brown, black, & gray with a religious design on front, white & black lettering to front & spine (title nearly completely worn away on latter, rubbed in spots on front cover). Condition is VG: very clean, binding straight & strong, but front hinge starting. Pages show heavy tanning & some brittleness; no foxing. Former owner's library sticker inside front cover, else, completely unmarked. Pushing to both ends of spine with 1/4" tear descending from top; bumped corners, rubbing to extremities. Contains paper-guarded portrait frontispiece, (xx), 498 pp + ii pp catalogue with 100 monochrome illustrations throughout by J. D. Watson, engraved by The Brothers Dalziel. Foxing to the end papers and sporadically throughout, 1927 catalogue clipping tipped to the front free end paper, one page gathering proud to the centre and in Very Good sound condition.
