Clarissa Furiosa, which deals with English politics and the writing career of its protagonist, is one of his middle novels. This copy is a first edition (NCBEL indicates that the American edition precedes the London, Methuen, 1897 edition). VERY SCARCE. Bound in the original tan cloth lettered in gold on the spine and front cover. Green decoration to front cover.
