After Sri Aurobindo's Mahasamadhi in 1950, The Mother continued the work. In November 1973, having realized a supramental embodiment, she too left her physical body. Thoug…h compelled to go back to France, she returned to Pondicherry in 1920, and never left again. She became the Mother of the Sri Aurobindo Ashram in 1926. Together with Sri Aurobindo, she worked out their Integral Yoga for the descent of the Supramental Consciousness, the transformation of the human body and the Earth, the realisation of a new species and the establishment of the Life Divine in matter.
