Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book is an extensive collection of poetry written by a group of literary giants. The collected works were created in the early 19th century, a significant period known for the shifting power dynamics in Europe. The poems were dedicated to an esteemed military leader of the time, Field Marshal Radetzky. Like their subject, many of these poets held honorable positions in society and were celebrated by those around them. Despite the high rank and accomplishments of these poets, some of the most notable members of the Austrian court found the poems to be vulgar and not suitable for a figure like the field marshal. However, these spirited works of art and admiration were largely popular with everyday citizens. The collection offers valuable historical insight into the ways in which a citizenry can idolize a military leader during trying times. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
