hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Folio Society edition of this 16th century travel book is in a red slipcase with minimal wear. Red and green cloth boards are sunned on the spine, all else fine condition. Pietro de la Valle who was born in Rome in 1586, his travels took him to Constantinople, Asia Minor, Egypt, Palestine and Baghdad. All orders packed with care, most dust jackets protected by Brodart sleeve, independent bookseller since 2011.

Hardcover. Condition: Good. Elegant Folio Society edition of della Valle's account of his journeys through Asia Minor, Persia and India during the seventeenth century. With terrific full page b/w illustrations taken from the Dutch edition published in 1665. Complete with slipcase and introduction by Bull. Slipcase has some light marking and shelf-wear. Volume has some light wear and sunning to spine. Contents are crisp and clean. Good+.
