The book is in Very Good+ condition with some minor rubbing and scraping to the pasteboard covers. The text pages are noticeable toned, especially at the edges, d…ue to the acid content of the paper used. The vacation covered the areas of Lassen Volcanic National Park, Shasta Dam, (with a few historical bits about how the damn looked in 1941, and Colusa. Included are notes from the author regarding different photos, with places and dates, a small section on the flora of Lassen, with actual examples taped in, a couple of maps, a menu, several brochures, and even an informational note about the Central Valley Project.

"China Travel Guide" by China International Travel Service and Cartographic Publishing House: Profuse colour folding maps and photographic illustrations, unpaginated. 25.3 x 12cm. Leaves detached, closed tear along the backstrip near tail. China Travel Guide, is completely disbound and therefore a reading copy only, whereas the other items are all in good condition.

Map includes a small inset map of East Asia. Measures 53.8 x 38.4cm, folde…d 9.6 x 19.5cm. This travel brochure was published in Korea by the Office of Governor-General of Korea in 1927 with the aim of attracting Japanese visitors to Korea. The text describes Korea's geography, weather, and transportation; major cities, such as Busan and Seoul; and industry including agriculture, commerce, and manufacturing. Accompanying photos are those of Seoul, Kunsan Port, a ginseng field, Moran Fortress in Pyongyang, and Mt. Kumgang.
