Leather Spine, Hard Cover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. Fifteenth Edition. Brown ribbed cloth binding with leather spine. Spine has gold colored print and four embossed floral designs. The covers have embossed publisher's logo on both. Covers have rubwear and front cover has a vertical scratch on the lower half. Corners are worn. Inside boards have remains of what was apparently a glued on kraft cover. Some end paper missing at top of front inside. Front fly has an owner's name and 1860 date in pencil. A second name and address are on the reverse, also pencil. This is repeated on inside rear end paper. Pencil doodle on inside rear fly. Waterstain on top quarter of pages 419 thru rear fly. All pages have some yellowing around print but pages near ends have foxing spots. 426 pp.plus 5 pages of ads and endorsements. No D. J. Subject of the book is elocution.

Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. 5th or later Edition. No dust jacket. 240 PP. No illustrations. Spine is tight, strong with uncracked hinges, however, severe scuffing and rubbing is evident overall. Black leatherette spine strip and gold. Text on the spine is remarkably bright and readable. Half inch chip on bottom of spine and upper rear hinge is starting to separate. Front and rear end papers and text have some foxing. The pages are not brittle and text type size is larger and very readable for its 1856 copyright.
