Brossura. Condition: ottimo. Volume in 8° 8cm 15,5 x 21,5), pagg 484, brossura editoriale. Esemplare ottimo. Samuel Tolansky (1907 1973) è stato un fisico britannico. Docente presso la London University dal 1947, è noto per i suoi trattati di fisica atomica, spettroscopia ed interferometria. Applicò la sua conoscenza nel campo dell'ottica riferita alle proprietà nucleari. Come dice nella prefazione il premio Nobel Bragg (1890 1971), "vivo è il bisogno di comprendere dove ha fallito la fisica classica e perché si sono dovute prendere delle misure coraggiose per abbattere le vecchie ide. Questa è una esposizione ampiamente storica".
