Boyd recounts his experiences at the Battle of Shiloh, Sieg…e of Corinth, Battle of Corinth, and participation in the construction of the military canal at Lake Providence during the Vicksburg campaign. Boyd went on to become a lieutenant in the 34th Iowa. Original 1953 booklet bound in later blue cloth with gilt title. Contents clean and bright with black and white illustrations.
