Thomas Hosmer Shepherd was a renowned topographical watercolour artist well known for his architectural paintings that were characterised by an attention to detail, along with lifelike scenes that contained people, carriages and horses. He illustrated many works including 'Metropolitan Improvements: London in the Nineteenth Century' and 'Bath and Bristol, With Counties of Somerset and Gloucester'. With an introduction and notes by the renowned antiquary, author and editor John Britton. In a half crushed morocco binding, with cloth boards.
