Internally fine and free of inscriptions; binding tight; no foxing and the text is exceptionally crisp and clean; page marker ribbon; beautifully decorated end papers showing rural scenes in colour. This is the very scarce Humphrey Milford first edition - no doubt issued simultaneously with that of Truslove and Hanson and in identical livery.
