She would be 'very grateful for your valuable opinion on many points connected with it'. She hopes Mrs Wigan is 'will be able soon to obtain change of air & scene, which you must so much need'. Mrs Brookfield's younger son Charles Hallam Elton Brookfield (1857-1913) did indeed take to the stage, finding success as an actor, author and playwright.
