Softcover. Condition: near fine. Limited first edition. 1/425. Large quarto. Unpaginated (18 pages). Illustrated dust jacket with with cutouts, and yellow lettering. #385 from a limited edition of 425 copies, signed and hand-numbered on the colophon at the rear. This finely produced work of photo collage from American photo-montage artist Terry Braunstein (b. 1942) was the result of her having won the National Book Award of the Library Fellows of the National Museum of Women in the Arts, in 1994. Here she cleverly uses the work of previous acclaimed artist such as Hieronymus Bosch, Pieter Bruegel, William Turner, Edward Hopper and René Magritte as a springboard to launch her own idiosyncratic additions to and manipulations of the images, using collage and photo-montage techniques. Many images have text captions underneath, furthering the visual story. Dust jacket with minor rubbing to a few of the corners, and a few light smudges on the front cover. Interior front cover with a tipped in library bookplate. In near fine condition overall.
