Hardcover. Condition: Very Good condition. First Edition. London: Grafton & Co., 1914. With the bookplate of the artist/painter/printer Edward DeWitt Taylor (1871-1962). His bookplate features a Columbian iron hand press, sometimes referred to as the 'Eagle' press due to the characteristic bald eagle counterweight. ["Edward DeWi…tt Taylor was born in Sacramento, California and remained in California throughout most of his life. As a young man, Dewitt Taylor settled in San Francisco, where he would gain training as an artist. In the late 1800s, he studied painting with Armin Hansen and Gottardo Piazzoni. He soon acquired a printing press for his studio and printed numerous original limited edition prints. With the success of his prints he established Taylor & Taylor Printers, a printing business, along with Henry Taylor in San Francisco, California. For almost 60 years, their firm became recognized for fine printing and they printed a number of editions for the Book Club of California. In 1911 John Henry Nash was asked to join the business and the printing partnership became Taylor, Nash & Taylor. While working as a printer during the 1930s Taylor also worked for the Federal Art Project, creating prints and artworks for the government. While Taylor is best known as an accomplished etcher, he also worked as a painter, designer, and printmaker. He was known for his realistic landscapes and seascapes of the northern coast of California. His precise printing ability enabled him to create highly atmospheric, ethereal subjects." - bio thanks to Anderson Shea Fine Art.] Very Good condition (light cover wear/soil). 1914. First Edition. Part II, C-G, corresponding with the second volume of Hain. For this volume, Peddie received help from Dr. Haebler and his colleagues at the Deutsche Kommission für die Gesamtkatalog der Wiegendrucke, V. Scholderer, and others. Included are cross references to 84 additional authorities beyond the 119 cited in Part I. Offered here is Part II (C-G) only. Parts I (1910) and II are all that were published. Bound in the original pale green paper-covered boards, with a gilt-stamped dark green cloth spine. Full title: "Conspectus Incunabulorum, An Index Catalogue of Fifteenth Century Books, with References to Hain's Repertorium, Copinger's Supplement, Proctor's Index, Pellechet's Catalogue, Campbell's Annales & Other Bibliographies." . First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good condition. Illus. by NOT a library discard. 8vo. pp. x, 145-310. Great Packaging, Fast Shipping. NOT a library discard (illustrator).
