By the literature review, the study focused on oxygenated additives which have high oxygen content, which improves the combustion and emission characteristics. Aunque los vehículos eléctricos e híbridos actúan como una opción de sustitución creíble para los motores…diésel, la realidad es que no lo sustituirán en un futuro próximo. Esto hace que los consumidores no tengan más remedio que preferir un coche diésel a las demás opciones. Y los motores diésel son famosos por las emisiones que emiten durante la combustión y que causan daños a la salud y al medio ambiente. Por ello, es urgente actuar sobre las emisiones de los motores diésel hasta que las demás opciones viables sean mejores. Otro problema importante es la escasez de combustibles convencionales, especialmente de gasóleo. En el presente trabajo se utiliza el biodiésel B20Neem (20% de biodiésel Neem y 80% de diésel) añadido con óxido de cerio (25ppm) para llevar a cabo la experimentación. La eficiencia térmica de frenado del B20Neem con óxido de cerio 25 se incrementó en un 2,7% y un 5,7% con respecto al B20Neem y al diesel respectivamente. Se observó que la presión máxima y la tasa de liberación de calor del B20Neem óxido de cerio 25 eran superiores a las del B20Neem y el gasóleo. Se produjeron mejoras apreciables en las emisiones de monóxido de carbono e hidrocarburo no quemado; sin embargo, hubo un aumento marginal en la emisión de óxido de nitrógeno. 64 pp. Spanisch.
