A slip that confirms that the frontispiece to this work is an original lithograph 'created by the artist especially for this volume entitled Boy With Recorder'. This lithograph is flat signed by the artist, Raphael Soyer in pencil. This copy is also flat signed in pencil by Sylvan Cole - the editor, and dated 67 at the tail of the title page. A very good, clean, tight copy in similar jacket. Original publisher's black cloth - embossed in white spine. Errata slip and 'limited edition slip (Associated American Artists) loosely inserted. A slight bump to the upper corner of the front board. Slight and normal age toning to the pages. The jacket has not been price-clipped. There is a stain with tide-mark to the tail of the verso of the jacket and several smaller stains at the head - again to verso - of the jacket - no damp damage whatsoever to the book itself.
