Attractively presented history of the 122nd New York Volunteers in the Civil War which features drawings made by a young carpenter who enlisted as a private and was with them through virtually every major battle in the Virginia theatre. Afte…r the war, he returned to Syracuse and collaborated with a local engraver to produce the visual record which illustrates this volume. A very fine, fresh copy in crisp, bright dust jacket with a couple small foxed spots on the spine.
