Includes sections on The Henry Hawthorn Foundation for the Inculcation and Propagation of the Principles and Ethics of Fly Fishing - The Contemplative Man's Recreation - Landmarks in the Evolution of the Angling Literature - Some Pseudonyms Used by Angling Authors. This is a fine account of the Hawthorn Foundation and an excellent description of angling titles in the Special Collections' holdings at UBC. With the original four-page prospectus laid-in. The book is bound in full green and cream colored leather with an artificial fly (a Professor wet) dressed on a size 12 hook inset on the front cover and with gilt titles on the spine and front cover.
