Label chipped and soiled but legible. Previous owner's stamps on the front end pages. Nice working copy but not in collectible condition. xiv, 720 pp. 17 color plates & 100 woodcuts. The pages and illustrations are bright and unmarked. 1854 date on the title page but this is a later edition, cir. 1890's.

Still an attractive book however with top edge gilt, illustrated cover, full color frontis, BW illustrations throughout, a secure binding, and an unmarked text.
