Talacauvery harbors many endemic, rare and threatened flora and fauna. Some of the important endangered species of Talacauvery are Celestrus paniculatus, Cinnamomum sulphuratum,Garcinia gummi-gutta, Mappia foetida, Myristica dactyloides, Symplocos racemosa, S. kurgensis and S.cochinensis.
