Field capacity condition had produced purslane with longest internode length (76mm), highest leaf relative water content (79.85%), highest total phenolic content (3.06 mg GAE/g), and highest ash content (17.5%). Continuous saturated condition produced purslane with highest plant height (429.0mm). Continuous flooded condition produced purslane with highest total flavonoid content (1.35 mg QE/g), nitrogen (3.14%) and crude protein content (19.62%). It may be recommended as a water saving technology for the water scarce areas for purslane production. The antioxidant content and nutritional value of purslane are important for human consumption. The book is useful for postgraduate students, lecturers and researchers. 56 pp. Englisch.

Les conditions de capacité au champ ont produit du pourpier avec la plus grande longueur d'entre-noeud (76 mm), la plus grande teneur en eau relative des feuilles (79,85 %), la plus grande teneur en composés phénoliques totaux (3,06 mg GAE/g) et la plus grande teneur en cendres (17,5 %). La condition de saturation continue a produit le pourpier avec la hauteur de plante la plus élevée (429,0 mm). En condition d'inondation continue, le pourpier a présenté la teneur la plus élevée en flavonoïdes totaux (1,35 mg QE/g), en azote (3,14%) et en protéines brutes (19,62%). Elle peut être recommandée comme technologie d'économie d'eau pour la production de pourpier dans les régions où l'eau est rare. La teneur en antioxydants et la valeur nutritionnelle du pourpier sont importantes pour la consommation humaine. Ce livre est utile pour les étudiants de troisième cycle, les enseignants et les chercheurs. 52 pp. Französisch.
