Colour print of Bonzo the dog by George Studdy, issued by the Sketch Magazine. The sheet measures 13.2'' by 9.5''. Shows Bonzo digging up a golf course looking for rabbits. Bears Studdy's printed signature. Some rubbing/chipping to edges, few small tears to edges, a little soiling/damp marking. Bonzo, a naughty little pup, was created in 1922 by British artist George Studdy (1878-1948). Bonzo was very popular. He appeared on the stage, on the big screen in one of the world's first cartoon films and in various forms of mass marketed merchandise.

With great color illustrations throughout (7 full-page and one smaller). Original staple-bound pictorial covers. In very good condition overall. Pages are generally clean, with no signs of prior ownership. The middle section is pulling away, and has some light foxing to the edge. The staples are a little rusty. Light rubbing to extremities. Overall, a nice copy of a scarce Bonzo book. Very funny illustrations.
