Landscape pp175 with colour frontis and a further 11 colour plates with b/w illustrations by Ian Oates throughout. Hardcover issued without dust jacket in slipcase. Green cloth covered slipcase in very good condition with a little rubbing to edges. The book itself is bound in half green morocco leather over green cloth boards with gilt titles and stag heads to spine and stags head to front board in circular inlay. Binding in very good+ condition with a little fading to gilt on spine along with a touch of sunning. Inside all pages with full edge gilt in lovely near fine condition. A very nice copy of this signed limited edition originally published in two volumes in 1848. Signed by Illustrator(s).
