It is the first volume of the Third Statistical Account of Scotland and for present and future generations it should afford the same wealth of interest that so many S…cots find in the Statistical Accounts of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. The book contains illustrations, figures, maps, tables, and a large fold-out map. The name of the former owner of the book is stamped on the inside front cover, inside the back cover, and the title page, and written on the half-title page; otherwise, this copy is clean and solid. Includes fold-out map of Ayr and surrounding area.
