First Edition assumed. PHILLIPS & HUNT, NY 1867. THERE ARE MANY FULL PAGE ENGRAVING PRESENT THROUGHOUT. CONDITION: There is a library checkout slip that can easily be removed (only indication) on the back endpaper denoting this book was once issued by the 'Library Male College.' The book is without a dust jacket as issued. The outside is still in fairly good condition with minor bumps to the corner edges. Book has a dusty like used look about it. The front endpaper is just a little loose at the top. There is a minor dry stain at the top of the second endpaper and the frontispiece. There are a couple of signatures on the front endpaper with one being in pencil and one in ink. There is a really nice gift inscription written in ink from 18880 on the second front endpaper.
